The Lion and The Four Wise Pals

Lion that Sprang to Life

This is the tale of four intelligent friends. Subuddhi, the fourth friend, was less intelligent and smart than his three friends, but he did possess something they lacked: common sense.

Three of the friends made the decision one day to embark on a fantastic journey to distant regions in search of employment! For all the reading and class work they had done, they desired to earn money. Why spend so much time studying if you’re not going to learn anything? Subuddhi wasn’t very brilliant, so the three buddies didn’t want to invite him, but since he was a friend from way back when, they said he could come along.

The four buddies start off on an incredible journey, moving from one location to another in search of a way to obtain coins. They came across a mound of bones under a tree as they were strolling through a dark forest. They believed it to be the ideal opportunity to showcase their abilities!

The first friend utilized their skills to piece together the bones like a jigsaw to create a skeleton! After the second friend spoke a particular mantra, the skeleton was clothed in skin and fur, giving it the appearance of a sleeping lion. The fourth buddy interrupted the third buddy just as he was about to complete the act by resurrecting the lion. Subuddhi was aware that once the vicious lion was revived, it wouldn’t be kind to them.

However, the third companion paid little attention to Subuddhi’s counsel at all. They made a decision while making fun of him that Subuddhi thought was an extremely awful idea. Because he was so terrified, Subuddhi climbed a tree, and the third companion began chanting, which caused the lion to reanimate! The fourth buddy was correct; the lion devoured all three of the astute companions, while Subuddhi fled back to the hamlet unharmed.

Moral of the story: “Having knowledge without being sensible is like having a toy with no batteries!”
